Monday 1st June 2020 2:00pmCraft & Chat at homeWe won't be meeting in The Cornerstone for Craft & Chat, but everyone's encouraged to get out their knitting needles, crochet hooks or other crafting implements during this time. The group leaders will keep in touch with people while we are not able to meet in person, so we'll keep chatting too. Tuesday 2nd June 2020 10:00amkids@cornerstone online storytime At 10am each week during our kids@cornerstone sessions, we have a short story-time featuring a Bible story. Many of the children and their carers will be sad that they can't meet together. We are going to share a storytime at 10am. This will be on our Facebook page (see the link below) at 10am on Tuesday. Please take a moment to remember this group and the people who usually attend. For usual attendees, if you need any support, please let us know and we'll help as best we can.
6:30pmMinister's Vestry Hour PrayerTim, our Minister, is usually available at church during this time. We suggest that spend a little time praying especially for our church community, including Tim. We hope you can "join" us as we pray together from our own homes.
Thursday 4th June 2020 9:30amTime for Prayer please pray at homeUsually, people are invited to come to our church building to join in a time of prayer at 9.30am on Thursdays. We suggest that, if possible, people use this time to pray at home. There are some short prayers on the Methodist Church's website (see link below).
Saturday 6th June 2020 10:00amPray for The Cornerstone Coffee ShopThe Cornerstone Coffee Shop is usually open from 10am on Thursday, Friday and Saturday. We serve many regulars who come on their own or with friends, but who appreciate the coffee shop's warmth, friendliness and love. Many of them will be missing spending time in the coffee shop, and may be feeling particularly isolated at the moment. Please, if you are able, spend a few minutes holding them before God.

To guide our worship, there will be a short video message on Facebook (see link below). Alternatively, you can use the worship sheet produced by the Methodist Church (see the website home page). May God bless us in this act of worship, and we pray that we may feel united with one another, even if we are in our own homes.

Friday 19th June 2020 4:00pmFri-yay! funChildren of primary-school age (up to school year 6) are invited to join us for this fun session on Zoom, recently renamed "Fri-yay!" after a vote! We play some silly games, have a chance to chat in small groups and also pray together. We sometimes share a Bible story. If you'd like to join in, please contact Catherine Green on 01335 300338.

We meet at 7pm on Fridays on Zoom & are currently following a book called ‘visions of faith’ which is a collection of quotations on topics of faith. 12:30pmChurch Lunch prayerAs you eat your lunch today, please spend a little time praying for those who are not able to come to our church lunch in Ashbourne. The lunch provides a great opportunity for people to meet and socialise over a good meal, and we know that people will be missing it.
