Thursday 2nd July 2020 9:30amTime for Prayer please pray at homeUsually, people are invited to come to our church building to join in a time of prayer at 9.30am on Thursdays. We suggest that, if possible, people use this time to pray at home. There are some short prayers on the Methodist Church's website (see link below).
7:30pmHousegroupThe Thursday evening housegroup (coordinated by Jeff Ffoulkes) could accommodate a few more people joining in on Zoom. We play some silly games, have a chance to chat in small groups and also pray together. We sometimes share a Bible story. If you'd like to join in, please contact Catherine Green on 01335 300338.

Saturday 4th July 2020 Beside Still Waters - a Day of Reflection Join us for a day of reflection and prayer on the theme of "Beside Still Waters" There will be opportunities to think, reflect & pray throughout the day guided by videos on Facebook (you do not need to register for Facebook to view the videos). There will also be materials provided to work on your own prayer square which will eventually join with others to form a beautiful whole. To sign up to get your ‘pack’ message us or contact Clare on 01335 342321 by 21 June. All of the information will be available on paper as well as digitally so everyone who wants to can join in. If it doesn't suit you to reflect on that day you can use the materials on a different day or over a longer period of time to suit you. 10:00amPray for The Cornerstone Coffee ShopThe Cornerstone Coffee Shop is usually open from 10am on Thursday, Friday and Saturday. We serve many regulars who come on their own or with friends, but who appreciate the coffee shop's warmth, friendliness and love. Many of them will be missing spending time in the coffee shop, and may be feeling particularly isolated at the moment. Please, if you are able, spend a few minutes holding them before God.
10:30amZoom Coffee MorningThe weekly Zoom Coffee Morning will take place on Saturday between 10.30am and 11.30am, please join in if you can, it's a good way to stay in touch with others. You need to bring your own coffee of course! If you want to know more please contact Stuart Green on 01335 300338.

To guide our worship, there will be a short video message on Facebook (see link below). Alternatively, you can use the worship sheet produced by the Methodist Church (see the website home page). May God bless us in this act of worship, and we pray that we may feel united with one another, even if we are in our own homes.

A detailed risk assessment has been completed and a range of measures have been put in place, including additional cleaning, to keep the space as safe as possible. We are pleased to be able to open out church building to the community, so that people can use the building for private prayer. Although our building has been closed since mid-March, we have continued our activities in other ways - details available on our website and Facebook.

6:30pmVirtual Songs of PraiseFor those who are missing the communal singing during worship, we are giving you the opportunity to join a ‘virtual choir’ which will enable you to sing your heart out in the safety of your own home. Use the document attached below to guide your Virtual Songs of Praise. Please take this act of worship at your own pace and involve as many people as possible in your household. Or you could listen and worship later in the week. The suggested format is to pray for the person(s) who made the hymn or song choice, then sing the song. This could be using your own accompaniment, or even a capella!
