Christian Aid Week

Usually, a local group of volunteers organise a house-to-house collection for Christian Aid Week. Every year, Ashburnians are very generous in their support of Christian Aid, and we usually raise over £2000 for the charity. This year, we cannot come to your home, but we hope you can support us by giving online and by displaying messages of support in your house windows. You can give online - see link below to justgiving. And please show your support by displaying a Christian Aid logo in your house windows. You can make your own with a message saying “I support Christian Aid” or contact us for a version to print at home. Please also pray for the work of Christian Aid. Daily prayers & reflection are available via the Christian Aid Week website, or contact us for a prayer sheet. We are concerned about the Covid situation in our own community, but we also want to support communities around the world. The world's poorest countries have the weakest health systems, and many of the most vulnerable people will be exposed to this deadly virus. They will struggle to cope with any costs of healthcare, and the costs of being unable to earn a living while ill or quarantined.
