Peter Dawson, local Ashbourne area poet and member of Ashbourne Methodist Church will host a free evening of "home-grown" poetry at St Oswald’s Church Hall, from 7.30pm on Friday 2nd May.

People are invited to bring a poem (or two) that they have written themselves and share it with everyone else. If you prefer to bring poetry written by someone else that's fine or just come along and appreciate others' creative impulses!

Peter strongly believes there are a lot of "unheard" poets out there and this is a warm invitation to come along and share.

We hope there will be a variety of poetic input about anything that is thought worth writing about! It should be fun.

This event is free to all and will include tea, coffee and soft drinks in the interval.
